Frequently Asked Questions
What is the preaching like? Our pastor is committed to preaching expository sermons systematically through books of the Bible. In each sermon, he exposes the meaning of the biblical text in the context both of that book and of the whole Bible, and he applies its truth to everyone’s lives according to the gospel. In each sermon, the pastor aims both to disciple Christians toward greater spiritual maturity and to evangelize non-Christians with prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit to resurrect dead hearts to new eternal life in Christ. You can listen to recent sermons by clicking here.
What is your music like? We sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs congregationally (Col 3:16). A worship leader leads the gathered body in singing these songs, and various instruments accompany the singing.
Is worship family-integrated? Yes! The church is the family of God! So we welcome families with children of all ages to worship together with us. Parents are the primary disciple-makers of their children, and we as a church gladly come alongside parents to equip and encourage them in their God-given role. Participating in congregational worship is a learned skill, so we believe it is best for children to be present in corporate worship even from infancy, so that they may learn how to participate from the earliest possible age.
What should I wear to Sunday morning worship? You will find that our members wear a variety of clothing styles to corporate worship, from more casual to more formal. You will find everything from jeans to suits, and you are welcome to wear modest clothing in which you would be comfortable to worship the holy God.
